”Local Family Tells Story of 1941 Flag” - TPR’s In Focus - June 14, 2022

In observance of Flag Day, In Focus brings the story of the U.S. Flag that flew over the U.S. House of Representatives the day that President F.D. Roosevelt addressed a joint session of Congress, Dec. 8, 1941, following the attack on Pearl Harbor.  Retired Colonel Bryan Morgan, who served as the State Judge Advocate for the Alabama Military Department, tells In Focus host Carolyn Hutcheson how his family came into possession of the flag.  His father, a
Congressional page, and his uncle, U.S. Congressman Luther Patrick, both witnessed the historic presidential speech about "The Day of Infamy."
