The Vann Vocal Institute is celebrating 17 years of bringing world-class opera talent to Montgomery and the River Region. Tenor David Cangelosi, Artistic and Program Director, who has led the Institute's training of young talent, talks with Carolyn Hutcheson of In Focus. The Vann Vocal Farewell Recital is scheduled for Saturday, October 5th, 7 p.m., at the Wilson Auditorium, Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. The Vann Vocal Institute has been a project of the Montgomery Symphony Association.

The AAC is working with Georgia and Florida, to learn how their legislatures passed a mandate that schools carry rescue inhalers for asthma emergencies. The AAC is eager for the Alabama legislature to follow suit. Professor Gibson-Young joined us by Skype from her office in the Auburn University College of Nursing.
